I started playing bass in the fourth grade, learning on a fretless Fender Precision electric because I was
too small for the upright bass. I played several other instruments throughout the years but alway kept the
Bass Guitar. My first band was when I still lived in Toronto. My friends and I frequented local music stores,
playing the store's instruments until the owner said "buy it or leave", So we left. We made more noise than
anything, but it was fun. My brothers and I moved back to Detroit,  where I am actually from, and the "band"
attempts continued. This time we were actually playing songs in front of a few (now deaf) friends who
always came to watch our practices. I kept involved with music throughout my school years and into my
years in the Army. After doing my military time, I settled in northwest Michigan where I still live. I was in a
few bands until finally meeting up with Paul in the early 90's.
Paul and I were in a band called "blind Curve" which was only together for a short time. The band finally
broke up due to one particular member's overactive ego (not Paul). Soon after, I was in a band called "big
Time Rabbit". We needed another guitar player, and Paul was it. This band was very busy, playing on live
TV and on the radio. We spent lots of money and time in the studio producing an "album" which still
occasionally gets some radio play. That band eventually self destructed and Paul was busy getting Onager
on the move once again. Luckily, a need for a bass player emerged, and I was invited to join the band.
Although we all get stressed out once in a while, Onager always seems to survive and provide quality
'Rock and Roll' to our many fans. Hope you enjoyed our site, and come see one of our shows! If you like
Rock and Roll you won't be disappointed!
Every body was Kung-Fu Fighting..........Huh!!
